Tables With Freestanding Legs

 

The tables with freestanding legs that we make in our collection have four individual legs.

 These are joined at the top....

  • Either into two end and two side rails, which form a 'skirt' or 'apron' immediately beneath the table-top. 
  • Or into top cross members, which are then connected by one or two top stretchers, which sit centrally underneath the table-top.

These tables have no joinery at the bottom, giving an open plan and sense of space between the legs. 

Tables with freestanding legs only require minimal overhang at each end, as there are no bottom cross members or stretchers to intrude on legroom. This maximises seating space between the legs.
